ART OF HEALTH GLOBAL COMPETITION

Alex Kelly (NORTH AMERICA)
The blend of colors is meant to represent the spectrum of gender identity and presentation, from hyperfeminine to hypermasculine and everything in-between, and the idea that presentation or perception doesn’t always equal identity.
The Gold represents the beauty of trans identities and the intersections of identity and presentation.

I combined all my various artwork and scientific posters to show what sexual health means to me, it is important to me as an individual while my work aims to improve the sexual health and wellbeing of others. This entry presents the two meanings sexual health has in my life, which while do not always agree, both are important and support each other in my life.

Self-control is the key to sexual health. A safeguard for yourself and those with whom you delve. Their presences judge one another. Yet mistakes can happen and complex problems arise. Leading to ostracization, depression, and teary eyes. Surprised are those who've conquered their own inner strife. For he's not wallowing in despair or shedding tears for life. In this painting, I seek to inspire those who bear the burden to not tire. But to forgive themselves and strive for better To realize that life can still be a present filled with hope and dreams.

Anesu Muvungani (Zimbabwe)
The drawing is portraying the ablity of women and men to enjoy and express their sexuality, hence doing it so free from risk of sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancy, coercion, violence and discrimination.

My art piece gives a vivid idea of my ideal image of what consists to sexual health, its main focus is to show the correlation of the physical, mental and emotional intimacy that is built on a strong foundation of love and understanding which in a nutshell paints my idea on the characterization of sexual health.

Troubled' showing a young troubled woman seated in a disturbed manner. She might be troubled because of experiencing a terrible situation involving STIs or HIV. Whatever is troubling her, just by taking a closer look at her, one can safely conclude that she is in real pain. What if she was sexually abused leading to her suffering a stigma as well as HIV or STIs? Every colour in the painting represent a certain emotion: the blues, reds, greens, yellows, blacks and whites of her life.

Franklin Mpofu (Zimbabwe)
The main reason of my entry is all about letting individuals out there know the most important key aspect of sexual health through my art piece. Therefore the most important key part of sexual health to me is knowledge about sex, nothing ever beats that. You learn what sex is and the risks it carries.

Gabriel Rufai (Nigeria)
This artwork depicts the nature of sexual health, and its importance. It explains that individuals have the ability to enjoy and control their sexual lives, without harming themselves or others. Sexual health involves not only the absence of disease, but also the ability to make informed choices about sexuality, such as using contraception, practicing safe sex, and engaging in consensual sexual activities. This piece gives importance to sex education as it plays a vital role in maintaining sexual health.

Jorja Henwood (Eswatini)
How women are viewed in terms of their sexual "worth" with the flower being a metaphor for a women's "flower" and the colours relating to sexual health.

Ruben Molina (Venezuela)
The living being is sexual and must live their sexuality with joy, with passion but with respect for the dignity of the other person. Sex is the basis of a healthy life. There should be no
slavery, humiliation in sex.
I believe that the best time to learn to know sex should be from childhood.

ABOUT THE ART:
The title of the pencil drawing is ‘Fountain’.
Size: 40 x 40 cm
Medium: Charcoal pencils on white paper.
‘Fountain’ explains the source and meaning of sexual health between two partners.
Man and woman who are married contribute to the spouse’s sexual health, thus do their own part. The existing legitimate relationship between the two is secured by keeping the proximity to one sexual partner(spouse) .If one has an extramarital activity, the vase of their bond breaks and the health is at risk, compromised. It needs both parties to build and protect their health.
Moreover, the flower in the vase is watered right from the pump of the ‘hearts’ of husband and wife, thus, the deeper it’s roots go ,the healthier the flower grows. The flower represents sexual purity and health, and the symbol for STI prevention is stuck on its stem. Sexual health is centered on this principle: one legitimate partner at a time, with whom the relationship is guided by the heart and the purity of God.

Sex is the greatest pleasure created by
God to uphold the existence of humanity

My goal with my artwork is the encourage society to have a positive outlook on sex and how to engage in sex in a healthy manner. My subject is nude to shock my audience to really take a look at the image and the bright colours that seem to flow around the body, symbolizing vibrant life. The flame lilies symbolize tenacity, purity, and beauty. The butterfly symbolizes the growth and new life of healthy sexual practices.

"At times, the victim will be afraid to report the case because the perpetrator will be a family member, but it is important that you talk to someone you trust, who will listen and believe you. It could be a teacher, friend, member of community, professional counsellor, religious leader or police officers."
Edinah Masanga, Girl Child Network Zimbabwe I can never understand what it means or feels like to be a woman. But I sure know its difficult. This piece conveys the message of healing. Healing from the atrocities women face because of the selfishness that this world shows towards them.
Healing from the constant abuse, especially sexual abuse that occurs at rates that are ridiculous and unimaginable. This is a message of solace. For I can never truly be aware of what it is to be a woman. But I sure know its difficult.

The female figure of a young girl with no head and arms portrays unfulfilled and misled dreams due to lack of knowledge of sexual health. So my message through the artwork above is that both species for specification female species should have knowledge and understanding of sexual health before drowning in the ocean of shuttered dreams,STIs and unwanted pregnancy.Henceforth, sexual health is important if we live in it that when trouble comes it won't stab us.

In the shadows of our families, there lie secrets and shame, buried deep like the roots of a tree. These secrets are like a poison, slowly infecting our minds and souls, corrupting our very being. We try to hide them away, hoping that they will never come to light, but they fester and grow until they become too much to bear. In the Soviet Union, there was a word that captured this feeling perfectly "shame."
It was a word that denoted both dirt and disgrace, and it was often used to describe the most intimate parts of our bodies. Sex was a taboo subject, something that was never talked about in polite society. It was a topic that was too embarrassing, too shameful, to be discussed openly.
For those of us who grew up in this environment, it was a difficult time. We were left to fend for ourselves, to try and navigate the treacherous waters of puberty and sexuality alone. When something went wrong, we were too ashamed to speak up, too afraid of being judged or ostracized.I remember when I discovered that there was something wrong with my testicle. I was terrified, but I didn't dare tell my parents. Instead, I searched the internet for answers, and what I found was a death sentence - cancer. I was too scared to do anything about it, so I decided to wait until the pain became too much, and then I would end it all.
Years went by, and I lived with the knowledge that I was slowly dying. It wasn't until I sought medical help that I found out the truth - it was only varicocelli, a condition that could be easily treated with surgery. I was lucky, but not everyone is.This experience taught me the importance of open and honest communication. We need to be able to talk about sex and sexuality without fear or shame, to be able to ask for help when we need it. This starts with our families - our relationships with our parents and our children are the foundation of our sexual culture.
We must be willing to love and accept one another, flaws and all, without judgment or condemnation. Only then can we begin to heal the wounds of the past and move towards a brighter future. For love of neighbor truly will save the world.

In this drawing I explained Sexual Health as the safe handling of the emotional, physical & mental state for patners who are involved in an intimate relationship.
This sexual health can be improved through honest communication with your partner about anything in relation to anything that happens beneath the sheets

My embroidery celebrates sexual health, enthusiastic consent, and trauma-informed care. My work uplifts and destigmatizes reproductive health, including access to free abortion, without question. Materially, embroidery has been historically disregarded as, "women's work." By utilizing embroidery, I'm reclaiming and elevating female domestic labor, while honoring the dynamic history of textile art. Sexual health is affirming and inclusive, consent- based, empowering, fully informed, and promotes community care.

Through paintings I express my feelings and thoughts. The landscape paintings reflect the general essence of the Atlantic coast that I see or dream. My works are for people who want to temporarily dream themselves into another world.
